MBM Programme

Master of Bank Management (MBM) is a professional post-graduate programme for the students who plan to be career professionals in the field of banking and allied fields. This programme also helps persons who have strong desire to build career in private, N60 and government & semi-government sectors dealing with financial activities.

With the opening-up of the economy, there has been remarkable changes in the financial markets around the globe. Financial markets and institutions have been striving hard to have a niche in this ever changing situation by adopting strategies and launching new products in the market. Consequently, functions of financial markets and institutions change over time across borders. Therefore, there exists a significant difference between banks and F15 of developed economy and those of under-developed economy in respect of functions and functional strategies. In View of these volatile situation, the Faculty of Business Administration has undertaken a greater responsibility to prepare persons who like to be career professionals in the field of banks and F15 so that they can cope with the changing situation by adopting proper strategies and in turn lead the institution towards the accomplishment of desired goals.

The objective of MBM programme is to armour aspirant persons with the theoretical and practical knowledge in the management of Banks and F15 so as to make them efficient and knowledgeable career professionals. The learners / aspirant career planners are expected to be able to make innovative policy, implement and execute this and lead the institution to the top of the portfolios of Banks and F13 after the completion of this MBM.

MBM is expected to be very goal-oriented programme. In View of this, this programme covers the different disciplines of accounting, management, finance, economics and insurance with special emphasis on policy and practice of banking and financial services. This programme is designed in a way so that career professionals / individuals can pull off all branches of knowledge into the core field and make effective decisions for the institutions.

Academic Information

  1. Duration of MBM Programme
    Master of Bank Management (MBM) is a fifteen-month programme consisting of 3 semesters. The duration of each semester is 5 months.
  2. Requirements for Admission into MBM Programme
    Students having following qualification may get admitted in MBM programme
  • The candidates who passed the graduation (pass or honours) in any discipline with at least 2nd class in all academic examinations from any institute recognized by this university.
  • Candidates who appeared in graduation examinations may get provisionally admitted. But the confirmation of their admission into MBM programme is subject to the submission of graduation certificates during that particular period.
  1. Application Procedure

A candidate should apply for admission into the programme in the prescribed form to be provided along with the prospectus. This form can also be obtained by mail from Faculty of Business Administration by sending BDT 300/ -. The filled application form should be submitted to FBA, USTC. Incomplete application form will be screened out and cancelled.
